A Creative, Philanthropic Community
Just a stone’s throw from the border of New York, nestled in back country Greenwich, CT, you’ll find Foundation House. Built in 1925, the property is one of the town’s few remaining Great Estates. With its grand manor house, old stables, greenhouses and outbuildings, Foundation House represents life at the crossroads; respecting the past, while inspiring the future. Foundation House is committed to being a local resource providing a safe place for robust convenings, workshops, lectures, and events. We initiate conversations on compelling topics, and welcome outside groups who seek to do the same.
Artist and Activist Residency Programs
Every few months, Foundation House opens its doors to artists and activists working on projects related to our mission of bettering environmental, community, and mental health. These creatives of all disciplines - painters, writers, sculptors, designers, visionary thinkers and doers - are offered an inspiring retreat, space and time to create or work with their team.
Application is now closed. Check back soon for our Winter 2025 session application.
